wayback is correct. Each team has different sponsors - Easton, DeMarini, TPX.

The above two are soooo right. D1 especially get some sweet gear with their game. Its not to just make them look good either, its big time money saver in college.

I recently did an athletic tour of U of Nevada Reno with my team and the hitting coach claimed that the guys were "spoiled" with most gear, and that at bigger name colleges, you got more and more gear.

I have to say that being a college baseball player has its perks. You get a new bat any time you want, but you HAVE to use whatever company sponsors the team. I was not a huge fan of Easton, but when you get a new one every week, you learn to love it.

what happens to the old bats that they don't use anymore?

We would always give them back to the equipment manager and then I believe they get sent back to the company.
