I noticed on stills of my swing that my front leg isn't locked at contact, which I see alot of pros do. It is supposed to increase power but if my leg isn't 100% locked, does that take away power from my swing?

Is it something to spend alot of time on correcting?

Thanks

I suppose it would matter as to how much "out of lock" your front leg is at contact. If your knee is noticeably bent then you're weight is probably too far forward and you will be sacrificing power. If you look at video, most of the really good hitters have their weight back at point of contact with their front knees locked (or almost locked) as they start their follow-through. I think a bent front knee at point of contact also inhibits hip rotation which is a major source of power in anyone's swing.
