Some very, very sad and heart breaking news....

Jeff Koscielniak, 2004 Graduate and former Pitcher from Old Mill HS, was killed early Sunday morning in a car accident. Jeff played summer ball most recently ('03 & '04) for the Columbia Reds 18 & under Select Team. The last I heard he was attending Catonsville Community College and was a member of their Baseball team.

Please keep Jeff's family in your thoughts and prayers....

We to are sadden by this terrible news. Our son, who played with Jeff's brother Scott at Cattonsville CC, told us the bad news yesterday. We are very sorry for Scott and his parents.

Paul Donovan spoke to Jeff's dad. Jeff's dad wanted to pass on a message. He asked that adults (parents, guardians, coaches) talk to young people about speeding. He is obviously still very stunned.

The family is working with Community College of Baltimore - Catonsville Campus to establish a scholarship fund in Jeff's name. If you would like to contribute, please contact the school directly. THANKS!

As a coach, and someone fortunate to coach Jeff, we can not lose sight of the impact each kid has on our life.

At the mall, at a ball game, or some event Jeff had a way of making you feel important. He would always go out of his way just to say "hi coach!"

When things like this happen I can not help but think about things I wished I had said. Not the least being, Thanks Jeff for touching my life.
