Most Valuable Player is pleased to announce the date of our 5th annual Pitching Showcase. On Saturday October 21st beginning at 9am, Most Valuable Player will be holding a workout for selected High School Juniors and Seniors, as well Freshman and Sophomore Junior College Pitchers.
In past events, Colleges from North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Ohio were in attendance. Representatives from The University of Richmond, Liberty, Towson, VCU, Louisburg, Catholic, Georgetown, West Chester, as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and New York Yankees attended last year’s showcase. In total, over 30 college recruiters and professional scouts were present.
Each Pitcher will be provided a time slot and asked to arrive one hour before hand, in order to properly prepare with Most Valuable Player staff. We want you to perform well, and do so without injury.
Just a quick note: We are looking to show off 18 catchers, which are free. We rotate them where they are well rested, we check their pop-pop time for the coaches, let them hit, and most of all feed them.

Pitching Showcase Update: As always we are pleased with the registrations, and expect to honor everyone's time slot request.
Still expect 30 to 40 college coaches, with early committments from Guilford, NC Wesleyan, Shenandoah, Columbia Union, Frostburg, Lynchburg, Maryland, George Mason, Wofford, Francis Marion, Gwynnedd Mercy, Catonsville...will update as they are received.
To get a time slot that fits your schedule please register right away.
1. Most Valuable Player is willing to provide a player a early or late time slot (provided available)in the event you need to go to Homecoming or have some other scheduled event. Because we limit the number of pitches, you can even pitch a game later that afternoon.
2. 3 for 3 ProgramAt the request of a Fall Showcase Team, Most Valuable Player is willing to provide a discount to any organization, High School, Summer Team, Fall Team etc...providing at least 3 pitchers. Basically 3 pitchers for $300 or $25 off for each pitcher. When you register, reference the organization and the other two pitchers. If necessary, we can place them at the same or near the same time.
