Haven't been there yet, but.....the new field at Calvert Hall looks pretty nice on their website.

I knew I should have made myself more clear. No future fields either. I'm looking for what is available now.

I have always been partial to McCurdy Field in downtown Frederick.

We have been to several high school fields this year and I beleive that Archbishop Spaldings field looks to be in great playing shape. It has a natural turf infield that looks like a golf course fairway. The infielders must love the true bounces/hops that come along playing on this infield

Best pure HS field (without $$ from partnerships)

Thomas Stone HS (home of the MSABC Tournament and tryouts)

Other good fields:

Riverdale Rec.
St. Mary's College
MC Rockville
Arundel HS

Calvert Hall's field is available now.

I have to go with CHC, turf is the way to go. I love playing on that stuff.

Haven't seen CHC's field, but my son just played on Appalachian State's new field. From the description, it sounds like the same stuff. My son loved the field at App. I sneaked inside the gate during warm-ups and felt it. Definitely not the Astro turf us old-timers remember...

I played on App States field 23 years ago. It was good back then (natural grass).

What about MD, and quit saying CHC. I'm sure it will be great, but think people!

I like Arundel's playing surface, Severna Park is turning into a great park with terrific atmosphere. When I played A.L. ball 25 years ago we went to Cambridge, MD and played in an old style park. Mount Airy A.L. and Williamsport A.L. always have nice fields. Again, my favorite is McCurdy in downtown Frederick!!!

Any area of MD.

Oh yeah...nice setting in downtown Elkton, and I recall another field in Elkton years ago near a farm. Press box, dugouts, nice field...all that good stuff. What is the name of that field?

Arundel is a nice field. I don't care for Severna Park, they need to work on the mound. I think it is to steep. They have made great improvements to the field with the new press box. I think Northeast High in AA county would have to be in the top 3.
