I am being told I should sign my son up for the Southern Maryland Baseball Camp. Anyone have any info on this camp? Is it a good one and are there others I should be looking at.

So MD Camp is a great camp....that being said, the winter camp is better for pitchers/catchers. Summer camp is better for position players. But, if you want to be seen by college coaches, Jerry Wargo does a great job of getting them there. More instruction than I expected also. Good overall camp for the $$$.

You also might want to check out the Diamond Skils camp. They do a great job.

Southern Maryland Baseball camp(s) are "highly rated and recommended" year after year and one of the best on the East Coast.

Jerry Wargo, Director and a pro scout of the Angels, has a top staff of instructors made up of college coaches, pro scouts and many other highly respected instructors and teachers of the game.

In addition, you can search this site for comments made about their camps through the years.

Agree and echo comments made by my friend MWR-VA our sons attended the camp several years ago. I will say it was much nicer when they had the dual camps at both Episcopal High School and Arundel high school, made it a bit easier on us Virginia folks.

The Southern MD Baseball Camp is the best around for both instruction and for being seen. What is the age group of your son?

he is a junior in high school.....his friend has been there the last two years and speaks highly of it
