not really a big deal. the coach might have overreacted somewhat to not catching a ball, but i don't really think it's a big issue. i've had worse for just looking lazy during pregame infield. i wouldn't get too worked up about it

Sounds like a little immaturity (as a coach) sneaking in. As a coach, during tryouts, you gotta be careful. You got kids out there trying out who have no shot, and guess what, some have no shot cause they can't throw. If this was the reason for the 300 pushups, then bad on the coach. Not necessarily a bad coach, but bad reaction this time.

Are you saying entire squads (JV and Varsity) practiced for 6 hours? I like the idea of maximizing your time with the kids for a full evaluation, but no one can possibly perform well for that long.

So...this is either a sly attempt to see who is mentally tough enough to handle it, or ???

How have things been since Saturday?

Have things loosened up a bit?
