Does anyone know anything about Lance Mauck, a catching instructor who coaches at Dundalk Community College?

Lance is a good guy. Teaches the fundamentals well.

You would do very well to work with Lance. I knew him as a player and a fellow coach. Very good teacher. He was a terrific player himself.

Lance Mauck

Before joining the Lions, Lance was at Anne Arundel Community College before Steve Ballance took over in August 2007. Ballance has been around high school and summer leagues for about 10 yrs (Yankee Rebels, Centennial HS, Sparrows Point others)

Mauck is/was Head Coach of the Stanton Braves, summer collegiate program.

There is another terrific 'older' guy at Dundalk CC who could help you with your C&T skills, Larry Williams. Just ask Oppen for Woody!

I am sure this guy Lance is good but the best catching instuctor around is Frank Vellegia. I have seen him on a couple of occasions at clinics and at the southern Md camp. I heard he is giving private catching instruction from a friend of mine. Is he coaching a summer team this year? How can I contact him?

Can't speak specifically to his catching instruction but he is a great baseball man. Always enjoyed coaching against him. You could always try his restaurant business in Baltimore.
