Some East team comments...

I threw pretty well, 90-92.

Feigl (08) and Thompson (09) stood out, both throwing high 80s lefty. Monar threw well also, worked out of a few jams. Haslup did well once he settled down, umpire didn't give him much on the corners. Kean started off well but gave up the game tying home run, showed good stuff though especially his curve.

In the infield, Jensen, Foster, and Hudson all looked very good. Hudson has one of the most powerful lefty swings I've ever seen, he's a strong kid. Drinkard has a monster swing from the right side, good defensively at 1B too. Tyler Bennett stood out at catcher, powerful arm and called a great game. Eddie Palmer was good as usual, and Bobby Hite stood out at the plate and in the field. The Iliac twins showed great arms and good baseball instincts, good potential for next year as they are only juniors. Woods hit a towering home run and played well overall. Walls and Stortini looked good in the outfield, both have good arms, Walls threw a guy out at home from probably 270 feet away.

South team...

Kevin Brady was awesome. Gave up a double, but that's pretty much it for anything hit hard. He was easily low 90s, good curveball.

I didn't know many people from the other team, but a kid got hit in the head earlier in the game then came back to hit the game tying home run in the top of the ninth. Wagner (Sherwood) hit a shot to the fence. Winegardner looked good at shortstop but didn't hit much, definitely showed how good he is as a baserunner though. Travers and Flannery were good defensively, showed good approaches at the plate. Crigger flashed good stuff but was a little wild.

Brady always looks good.

The north team had a lot of talent.

Over all I would say you were looking at the best high school talent in the state of Maryland. For me I thought it was pretty dam good.

I think the college coaches were very impressed.
