As the boys head into the American Legion county championships (the winner playing at the State Legion Tournament (in Frederick this year), congratulations are extended to all teams, and specifically those in this weekend playoffs.

I was asked if I recall the last time Rockville Post 86 was in the State Championship, let alone the County Championship.
I replied I don't recall Rockville Post appearing in any post season games in this decade, let alone, the 90's, the 80's, or even the 70's. Maybe 1962 when Bethesda Post (which was a combined Bethesda-Rockille) with John Baxter doing most of the pitching.
If old enough to remember, I'd appreciate it.
