How can Northeast High School from Anne Arundel Co. not be mentioned. They went 4-0 against North County and Severna Park last year.

Because the Sun paper fails to do their homework. Who cares about the preview. If Northeast takes care of business on the field, they will get plenty of ink in the paper.

Hairline. 3-4 weeks.

Doesn't NE have a new coach this year (and
probably is simply finding his way!)

I totally agree. The sun paper has lost touch with what is going on in their own backyard. Even the list of players to watch is suspect. Before everyone gets upset I am not saying that the players that they have on the list shouldn't be there.

They missed some of the better players, They always seem to concentrate on players in private schools and miss the players in public school.

Perhaps they should begin by following summer teams to see who the best players are.

New at head coach...Was 3rd base coach for several years..Adam Bolling

Tough break for Devito..I was hoping he was okay. Also saw the line drive hit him. I guess it could have been worse considering where he got hit and how hard it was hit.

Game Score from Yesterday in the Severna Park - North County Tournament

Severn School 3
Severna Park 0
Maryland Recruit Sander Beck of Severn pitched a complete game no-hitter striking out 8. Was throwing 88-90 on the stalker gun and mixed his pitches well.
Severna Park is ranked 13th by the Sun. Congratulations to the Severn team and coach Andy Canterna. Probably the biggest win in their schools history.

Congratulations Sander Beck! Wow! Keep that ball!
No Hitter is a great thing. You are now officially "un-hittable"! Severna Park is a decent squad too. Keep it up!

Hit it square.

I don't know all of the scores from the tournament but this is what I have:
Severna Park 5
Fallston 1
WP: Patrick O'Keefe (5 IP O runs 2 hits)
HR: Alex Ramsay, Cory Jenson, & Mike Boushell

North County Beat up Severn in Severn's 1st game.

Not sure who won between NC and Fallston

Old Mill 11
Braodneck 6
Justin Cohen was 4-4 with a triple and a double to lead Old Mill.
I really like him as a catcher. He is a player to watch with a lot of potential.
