Monarchs go to 3-0 with an 11-0 victory over Diamond Devils 17U. A nine-run second inning provided the damage. Lots of walks and a few timely hits. Kenny Misal threw the complete game for MD.

Monarch advanced with a 6-2 victory over East Cobb Patriots 17U, but lose 5-4 to Midland Indians. Monarchs finished in the top eight. Scott Swinson pitched well in the first game, allowing only a solo HR in the sixth. The Monarchs tied it in the top of the seventh and won it in the eighth.

Down 5-3 in the seventh, Brian Hobbs homered to get the Monarch within one, but Midland held on.
