Where's Michael Dillon from Calvert Hall? I'm amazed at how he seems to consistently get overlooked. Perhaps it's because he's such a quiet young man and certainly not a self-promoter. I dunno.

But how can you ignore his 2007 season accomplishments. He went 9-0 on the hill for the Cardinals posting a very small era while facing and beating some of their very toughest rivals. And not to mention that he won the MIAA championship game. This kid has nothing but ice in his veins during big games, and he's as tough of a competitor as any kid on this list.

Hahn, Keyser, and Dietrich are all committed to FCC. FCC has quietly had an excellent recruiting year this year. Their incoming class next year will be stacked.

Bear,
Looks pretty good if all were allowed.
Additionally, I would add Pat Blair (possibly the best SS, and only a junior), Dillon, and Lingerman from Calvert Hall.
I also like Kiernan Flannery from Pallotti, the boy can flat out rake.
Sleeper picks would be Brady Wilson from Frederick, Dani Ashbaugh from Linganore and Josh Conway from Smithsburg (all of which are juniors this year I believe)

soxfan, your MVAL picks are three young men who I can't argue with. Last year, I found Brady Wilson VERY hard to pitch to. The kid has very few holes in his swing and he reacts to changes in speed very well. Excellent athlete for sure.

Josh Conway is a real all around athlete. He can do it all and I think he's very deserving of being on the list. He's going to make an excellent player for some college who is smart enough to snatch him up quickly.

Dani Ashbaugh is a kid who I've been fortunate enough to coach for several years. He's very special. I really expect him to do very well for Linganore this year if he gets run support. Definitely he'll be all-MVAL for sure. His talent is amazing and he has one of the best work ethics of any player I've coached.

Another player who deserves consideration is AJ Jamison from Williamsport HS. He's an exceptionally strong player and he's a coaches dream. Fantastic young man!

I'm surprised that Frankie Zier didn't make the list since his "twin" Ian Hahn made it. They make a great 1-2 punch for Thomas Johnson HS.
