Congrats to Neal. I suspect this will be a Draft and Follow, which means the Orioles owns his rights until one week before the next draft. I would Neal will do well at Catonsville, and, if he did the amount of money can be considerably higher than you may Think! Al McCormick www.mostvaluableplayer.biz

I expected a lot more DNF's with guys heading to JUCO's to play. At the same time I was surprise guys like Justin McClanahan, who was 3rd in the country in Homeruns to not get drafted, as well the kid from Walters State, who hit 20 and led the nation at JUCO was drafted so low.
At a macro level, I thought the draft appeared a bit of a Money Ball type draft, especially early on. As always, a lot of Pitchers and Catchers and you can tell the game is a Pitching Hitting game.
Again, I am surprised, but realize signability plays such a big role and can dictate what round, or whether you will get drafted or not.
For those who did not get drafted, keep working hard. As Garth Brooks says, "Unanswered Prayers."
