On another thread I asked if anyone had dealt w/ an infield problem. After reading the responses and talking to a professional I am adding infield dirt to my field.

I have ordered infield dirt before, from one of the companies that deal in such things, and was not satisfied. I know now that the mix was too high in clay for our field and field maintenance abilities. We simply could not keep enough water on it to keep it from baking and cracking.

My question is, what percentage of sand to clay have you had success with? Sixty to sixty-five percent sand to forty to forty-five clay & silt has been suggested to me. Recommendations?
