I have always enjoyed helping to maintain a baseball field, and have always enjoyed mowing grass.I recently began helping my son's HS coach maintain his field. My main contribution is mowing. The coach told me that the month of August in NC is the best time for the hybrid bermuda to repair and thicken. I have been absolutley shocked at the growth rate this grass has. Every two days mowing and I'm still almost too late getting it cut. Being able to mow with a reel mower is also very nice. At my son's first school, we only had rotary cutters. Big, big difference.
