Is there a physical explanation for "dead arm". After seeing my son lose the excellent command of pitches he's always shown and some loss in velocity from the fall, my son's HS coach said he has a "dead arm". He said his arm is tired. Is this a common occurence? He's the starting SS when he's not pitching. He doesn't pitch more that 4-6 innings per week.
