Any predictions on the upcoming tournaments? Looking at the standings Merrimack and Dover are tied for the final spot. If Merrimack is holding the tie breaker. My pick is Merrimack over Keene. The reason for such a bold 16 over 1 pick? The answer Dan Catalidi, need proof? Ask Coach Anderson where Merrimack keeps the 2007 State Championship trophy. Catalidi is a fine pitcher and when he is on he is dominate, the only question will be can Merrimack push across some runs to support this legitimate ace? Any other thoughts?

Have to disagree with you there about Merrimack...after seeing Keene play Pinkerton @ Pinkerton they will easily hit 4/5 homeruns at their stadium they are complete 1-9 with each one of them having the ability to hit a it out especially at their field.

alvirne and pinkerton game should be good they play like 2 weeks ago and it went 10 inninga all the way down to the last play when alvirne made a error turning a double play so i think alvirne has a shot they were also playing without weaver that game so i think that should be a good matchup

ABC1234, you are correct, because I just round out that Merrimack not playing Keene. Does anyone know if Merrimack is in the Tournament? If they are watch out for Cataldi, ABC1234 good pitching always overcomes good hitting.

Granite State,

The NHIAA website shows Merrimack in the 17th position.(out of the tourney) The list shows it was updated as recently as today.

Just not sure if that list online is the "Official" list.

Granite State,

Big thing this year for Alvirne is they are getting offense from more then 3 or 4 kids. Everyone is taking turns swinging a good bat.

The post season is always interesting, last years run by Merrimack is always a good reminder.

One big one in L, most of the favorites won this year. Completely opposite from last year!

Does Memorial have another upset in them, and if they do could they go all the way? My prediction is NO, clock strikes midnight and this Cinderella team doesn't put up a fight against Goffstown. Goffstown vs. Salem in the finals with the Blue Devils to be the last team standing.

ABC1234, good pitching always beats good hitting. Keene was not the lock as predicted, I would still say if you put Cataldi up against that Keene line up, Cataldi gets the job done.

Another note will Salem hold off on Perrault tomorrow night? They have more than enough pitching to throw at Nashua, Landers, O'Dell and Hardy. I had a conversation had with a summer coach who thinks that Salem will start Perrault, pitch him for 2 innings and bring him back to close if necessary, like they have done in the past with their ace.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dan starts Perrault and has him go the distance. He understands you can't look ahead in tournament games. North is not a pushover the way they handled Trinity! I agree though, Salem and Goffstown with Salem taking it. Weymouth can hold down Goffstown's offense.
