Who do you feel is the best baseball instructor in MA/NH? Who is the baseball instructor you would pay your own hard earned money to teach your son? For me Dave Bettencourt is hands down the best, I learned from him and without him I don't think the Granite State Baseball Association would exist, I learned more from him than anyone else, more than anything else I saw his passion for the game and it was contagious and I got wrapped up it and still to this day approach baseball with a passion that I learned from those lessons, not to mention mechanically Bettencourt fine tuned my skills, giving me the tools to work hard and become a strong hitter which I now pass on to younger ball players. Thoughts?

Dave is a good choice, especially for a catcher. My older son worked with him and he turned him into a HS all-star and a solid college catcher. By far the best hitting instructor we found is Rey Garcia at Batter's Alley in Woburn. Rey was primarily responsible for making both of our sons excellent hitters and, in my younger son's case, he has been an outstanding infield coach as well.

Dave Adam, is an excellent pitching coach. He played major league ball i think. He runs a place called strike three out of portsmouth. He is the head coach at Newmarket. I have seen several players who spent the winter with him and looked like a whole new pitcher afterwards. His team consistantly over achieve.

He is getting on in the years now but still puts on clinics and such...pitching coach DR. John Bagonzi. Son attended a 2 hour clinic with him this winter and the results so far have been surprisingly good!! Wish he lived a lot closer then Woodsville, NH!! would attend another clinic in a heart beat with him.

Dave Adam's does a very nice job instructing players, as does John Bagonzi. he doesn't do it anymore but Frenchy was the best at the mental approach to pitching.

there are more than a few quality instructors here in nh. not as many as we need maybe. you just hope this economy doesn't force them into something else. people don't seem to be spending as much on things like instruction.

Anyone know anything about Marc Deschenes (sp??) down in Dracut, MA? He is a pitching coach. Looking for one over the winter somewhat near Nashua, NH.

Redsox8191,

My son went to Marc in the winter of 2007-2008 in preparation for his senior year. The improvement over the course of the winter was dramatic under his teaching. Spent a great deal of time on the mental part of pitching as well. Highly recommend

Connector cages in Lowell have 2 great coaches.Ken Connerty has been a hitting coach for college and HS kids for over 20 years. Mike Fahey the same for pitching. Son has really thrived with these guys.
