I am looking for the Top Sophomores and Juniors in New Hampshire for the Granite State Baseball Association's Showcase Fall Wood Bat League. Last year in our first year running the program we had about 32 players from around New Hampshire who were separated into two teams which played a 9 inning game each week for about 8 or 9 weeks. These games were hosted by NH colleges and universities such as Colby-Sawyer, Franklin Pierce, Southern NH, Plymouth State, Keene State and St. Anselms. In addition to these coaches seeing the players, the GSBA provided weekly updates to over 30 colleges and universities around the Northeast, who are also invited to come down and watch the games at no cost to their programs. The players each paid approximately $300 to play and received instruction from coaches who all had played, high school, college, semi-professional and/or professional baseball. For 2008 we are looking to expand the league to 4 teams, located out of the Manchester/Hooksett area, Nashua area, Concord area and Salem/Derry area. The purpose of this league is to provide NH players the opportunity to move on to the next level in addition to providing the highest quality fall baseball in New Hampshire. We do have participating partners in MVP Baseball Academy and Extra Innings in Nashua, NH. Please share your thoughts and in the near future our web site www.granitestatebaseball.org will be up and running again, and providing more information as well as player, parent and college coaches testimonials about our program.
I have to throw out there Brian and Jake Finnegan, Sean Caron, Chris Crutcher and Kyle Neverman. All having great years (so far) and legit. Do you have any sort of scholarship program? I know it isn't a ton of money, but for those ballplayers family's who are short on money?

Kyle Neverman played with us last year, one of the finest players in the State in my opinion. As well rounded as a player possibly could be, and he has a baseball mind, I can not say enough about him as a player. I have very limited exposure to Crutcher and Jake Finnegan, however what I hear is that both are very solid ball players. Brian Finnegan is a dirt dog, kid loves to play ball and as a coach you can not ask for more. Sean Caron, one of my personal favorites I have seen this kid develop over the years and he has a high ceiling. Just some quick thoughts on those ball players. We do offer relief and in some cases do offer full scholarships. Our only problem is when a player is asking for a discount after spending thousands of dollars on Showcases over the past summer, I belive there are people who truly need the scholarship or discount. The economy is in rough shape we are paying more than $3.30 per gallon of gas, we will not allow cost to be the reason a player doesn't play in our league.
Definitely have to include lefty pitcher Pat Lucas, SS/pitcher Nick Guest, and catcher Alex Hernandez (I think that's his last name) - all juniors from Nashua North.
I have heard good things about all the juniors from Plymouth, Ben Farina, Kyle Underwood, Trevor Bladecki. Also heard that class S have some talented juniors, not sure of their names though.
