The students at Central High School in Manchester are having a little fun with the Division Series...
It seems that their principal is a New Yorker. The students just stole his prize Yankee trinket which sits on his desk at school, and put together a ransom note for it...with demands.
C6jr and I were apoplectic when we came back from commercial and Kim was on the mound.
We couldn't believe that he didn't leave Timlin in, and then he pulls Kim [anyone who has followed Kim knows its always a tightrope walk with him]. If you're gonna go with him then stick with him.

Grady's move in the 8th might mean the end of his managerial days in Boston. They absolutely needed to get a run right there. He had these choices... Nixon versus Rincon(who was very off that night) McCarty versus Bradford(who he's seen many times while playing with him) Merloni versus Bradford Adrien Brown versus Bradford
How he came to the rationalization that Adrien Brown made the most sense is beyond me. Plus, when Ortiz walked in the 8th, he should have been pinch run for. He was actually running on the pitch where Mueller doubled. Anyone on that bench would have scored on that play. There's no way Ortiz should have been out there in the 8th. You have to get that run in. It's that simple. If I were Theo, I'd be praying that Torre says "see ya" to the Yanks. Even if he's not around for the Sox to go after, there are plenty of others that would make me feel alot better than having Grady around.

TR... When they had Arroyo up in the 4th or 5th I thought that was the way to go. He has impressed me. We will see today: Lilly 4.34 ERA vs. Lowe 4.47 ERA Lilly's only other playoff experience has been his blown save and L from Game 4 last year... Definitely something to prove.
Massfan The "book" on Grady has been just as hot and cold as the speculation about Torre...Love him one minute, question everything the next...
Sirguy... I have been a Yankee fan since 1976...with only a few detours along the way. If they can't win I would like to see the A's finally finish the deal...Go Clemens

Part of me really wants to see the Red Sox make it this year. I went to school in Boston in the seventies. I suffered through the Dent and Buckner episodes. BUT, there's something about this team that just doesn't quite get me pumped. They don't seem to have that spark... maybe it's the mullets or something. (Is CMT carrying these games?)
The Cubs and Twins have the spark. I think that would be an exciting World Series.

My son was at the game...so TROT winning it was great.
What you couldn't witness...was the fact that some Red Sox players <who were standing on the top of the dugout stairs the entire game> had taped letters on the back of their warm-ups...Spelling Lilly...Boston Brass in not amused. Could make for interesting "antics" in todays Game 4.
