The East Coast Grays hold a 20 week winter program that started 2 weeks ago. They are held on Sundays at the Brighton Sports Zone in Rochester, NY.. fresh/soph 8am-10am and jr/sr at 10am-12pm.. professional instructors are Chris Snusz (11yr pro exp), John Valle (13yr), John Vandemark (13yr), Al Edwards (8yr), Jerry Scarcella (8yr), Rick Lancellotti (17yr).. as well as other instructors from Rochester/Buffalo area.
The cost is 450.00/for the entire program or 25/session. It is attended on a regular basis by local college coaches and pro scouts.
New Era Park in buffalo, ny has a 7 week development camp for both catching and hitting starting on Nov 13 (catching) and Nov 15 (hitting).. 1 hour per session covering a different topic. For info contact New Era Park at 716-681-3001 --cost is 30.00 per session for members and 45.00 for non members.
There is also a camp in Scranton PA called Pro Staff Baseball run by current Pirates minor league pitching coordinator Gary Ruby.. it runs for 6 weeks and all instructors have pro exp..

For anyone that has the ability and is interested in going, I went this morning and I loved it. The amount of reps I had hitting, at 1B, OF is not comparable to any other program, especially in the fall/winter season.

I'm sure, knowing Coach Snuez, that these events are tops. I got to watch him first hand work with some players at the PG Northeast event and I for one was impressed with his approach. Only wished for his program only, that we lived closer to Rochester.....

i was very impressed with the amount of character/quality players that Coach Merc develops with the World Yacht Clippers... we are looking forward to doing many things with him and his players this upcoming summer....
Coach Merc, i think you should post the email you sent me over the weekend regarding helping that young kid -- there are plenty of quality people here that would really be able to help him out
