Snow or no snow, baseball season has finally arrived in Massachusetts!!! Tryouts start today and, with any luck at all, the teams will be outside some time late next week.

So, who are the top teams/players in MA this year?

Lots of talent in MA, this year.

Catcher Mike Dowd, from Cardinal Spellman is incredible, as are Roxbury Latin's Jack McGeary and Kyle Prohovich.

Others to watch include Kevin Johnson, from Peobody, who attends the Belmont Hill School, and Greg Annarummo, from Rehoboth.

CV, I agree! I don't think scoring runs will be a problem. We have the pitching and hitting. Defense will be the key, as it was last year.

Who are some of the key players to watch from Westford? Moved out of Mass when my son was born, but still work down here (hubby works in Westford). How does Lowell look?

Junior pitcher Colin Royal was a leauge all-star last year. Junior SS Luke Mooney is excellent, as are seniors Kyle McNiff and Brian Schmidtberg. There are 8 other pitchers who will be fighting it out for innings, virtually all of whom could be successful in a regular role, including Coach Victory's son.
