My son is a 6'5" 180lb, right handed submarine style pitcher and is one of the better closers on his team at Spain Park High (6A Hoover City Schools). He is currently a Junior. He would like to play college ball but has less than stellar grades (2.78 overall GPA) and a 22 on his first attempt at the ACT. I would like to get him seen by as many college and pro scouts in the south as possible. We are complete novices at this and I would love to have any help or suggestions I can get. He is a good kid who loves baseball and computers, but not studying. Please help!

Thanks,
FJ

FJ,
You need to talk to Greg Legg, the GM of the Bama Bombers. My son played for him this past summer and got all sorts of exposure and subsequent offers. Your son's grades may make him a good candidate for one of the many great Junior College baseball programs in the Southeast. Good Luck.
