Congratulations to Nazareth junior shortstop Steve Dalporto on being named to the ESCC all- conference team. The other conference coaches recognized Dalportos ability at the shortstop position in one of the toughest conferences in the area. No doubt that DalPorto is one of the best in the business.

Eek

If I remember not too long ago, Spark plug and Javi were blasting a couple young men and their abilitys on a thread.

Congrats to both of you guys for being selected All-conference.

09 Steven Dalporto from NazHS and 09 Mike Kane from ND HS.

Sounds like sour grapes

Batavia placed 5 players on the Western Sun All Conference Team
Sr. Alex Beckmann (3 time selection)
Sr. Shane Holl
Sr. Mike Sentman (2 time selection)
Jr. Tim Drish
Jr. Jordan Coffey (3 time selection)

Beckmann, Drish, Coffey, Krolikowski (All Conference in '07), Staehely (Bennet), Richter (W. Aurora) all played together with the Wasco Travlers several years back - good job Coach DeJong!

In the Western Sun Biagini (Glenbard South) had 11 and Hofstetter (Geneva) had at least 10 -- so far as I know.

I was pleased to see that Bryan Roberts also made All-conference and then wondered why we don't read much about him. Seeing that he was named one of the two Most Valuable Players, I'm wondering even more why we don't read much about him.

Congratualations to all the boys named to this list and the other lists of All-Conference, and special kudos to the boys who are name All-Academic All-Conference.

I hear Sullivan and Lindquist might miss Wednesday game vs Carmel for graduation. I hope the AD's move the game earlier in the day and avoid the conflict.

Yeah, that's a possibility; Wednesday is graduation day, starting at 5 pm. The other seniors are at risk as well. All the kids want to play; I hope they move the game up.
The game will be a real challenge even with all 6 seniors; it would be a shame to have to play without them.
