Young opens its IHSA Summer League with a game versus Notre Dame tomorrow. Tomorrows game is at Young. Also this week, Young plays Evanston, Maine East and Deerfield.
Coming up are Niles West, Glenbrook North, New Trier, Lane Tech, Loyola, Lake Forest, Glenbrook South and Highland Park.
No doubt there will be conflicts with players having other commitments, but should be fun.

The new squad looks good and has excellent chemistry. Many of the players have been together for a long time (5 years or more). Some promising juniors (Caberera-Loos and Otero) and sophomore (Nick Frahm) players are getting a look. Cinamon and Kamin playing third and Henriques and Gowder at Shortstop. Schreiber and Ormond at First. Rosa in Center and Bowden in Left. Bowden was the big hitter in this game. Jason Ormond was the starting pitcher and left the game with two run lead. Pitched 5 innings allowing no runs. After pitching change 4 runs were scored.

Lane tech has been mix and matching players and evaluating all the new talent they got from sophomore and freshman. Teams looking good once they blend together.

Mark you have some serious issues with self esteem. Why do you find it necessary to schill for your son. Let others do the talking and be gracious. You are doing him a disservice. Stop with the self serving analysis and settle back into reality.

Batavia 9 St. Charles North 3 Only summer ball - but Bulldog seniors (to be) Jordan Coffey, Ryan Welter, Tim Drish hit the ball hard; Senior Joe Aguilar and Junior Ryan Kohl pitched and Soph call-up Jesse Coffey looked good at shortstop. For North, Hirsch had a couple of hits.
