Josh Keim 5"9/145 lbs. P/SS Rock Island, Illinois

I have seen him play a few times, he was the sophomore ace for Rock Island High School and pitched/played around ten games for varsity. He throws a 78-79 mph fastball and his offspeed (changeup/curveball) really kept the batters offbalanced. He has a great glove at shortstop and can hit well to all fields. Look for him to be a top thrower and infielder for this upcoming and good young Rock Island Rocks team.

Ynabon Cabrera-Loos - OF - Whitney Young
John Schreiber - 1B - Whitney Young

Going to be Juniors pretty soon though. Both can hit the ball hard. Cabrera-Loos has a cannon arm from the outfield and Schreiber is a great defensive first basemen.

A few from our conference (Big Northern East)

Ryan Burke - Hampshire - ERA under 2.00 last year
Austin Jarvis - Burlington Central - under 2.0 to second, 6hrs as a soph
Zack Romando - SS - Burlington Central - .350 as a soph, solid defensively
Chase Blazier - Harvard - I'm not sure of his numbers, but he shut us down twice this year, probably in the low 80s

There are a handful of others who stood out in our conference this year as sophomores.

Make the routine play!

Actually Sox, Muck throws four pitches for strikes, including one of the nasty cut fastballs these eyes have witnessed.

We should change the name of this thread to "Top 2010s" now that these sophomores are juniors, right?

Sounds like he'd be a good one. Isn't it illegal for colleges to contact 2010 kids? What exactly can they say that lets them know their interested in the player.

Harrisburg continues to be a hotbed of talent. Thanks for the news from Southern Illinois! Hey, because I've hung up the cleats for a year or two, you don't have to be a stranger! If you're ever in my area, let me know and I'll buy you a diet coke!

Miles Quintal (RHP) O'Fallon Township
10-2 Soph Season
Had a good soph year, pithcing in a very competetive league. Great command of all 3 of his pitches, not a high velocity guy at this point but pitches at 80-82. His breaking pitch is outstanding and he is confident with his cu behind in the count. With some increased size and strength he could emerge as a d1 kid.
