Today is a big day . . . the Chicago "Road to the Show" tournament has been officially launched. The tournament will take place July 8th - 12th using some of the finest high school and college fields in the Chicagoland area.

The 16U & 18U Championship Games will be played at US Cellular Field (home of the White Sox)on the evening of July 12th.

Our goal is to make this one of the finest events in the Midwest, and we are on the brink of announcing some major corporate sponsorships that are making this all possible.

Hi,

I have a few questions for you, at this point have you any colleges or pro scouts committed to be in attendance. Also, what are some of the high school and college fields you will be using. Finally any concerns in regards to running this event over an entire week when especially at the 16u level as many of the travel teams may be at least than full strength during the week because their players will be playing Summer League ball with their high schools. Which in turn may lesson the level of teams or talent which may participate in your tourney. Sorry about all the questions.

List of colleges invited so far

The tournament starts on a Thursday and only 4 teams (16U & 18U finalists) will play on Monday.

So really the tournament is your classic Thursday-Sunday.

Would like to know of confirmed schools coming and for which age groups, not those invited. Have been to showcases that bragged of all those invited and the few who showed up were only present at the 17U and 18U and only at a few select games. Looks to be like nice tournament just need more info, hope to see it soon.
