I believe RHP Greg Billo of Carl Sandburg H.S. signed with the Royals.

What kind of money does a 28th round pick get?
I'm suprised he signed, unless they raised the pro-quota amount.

Crosschecker says that Rick Zagone got $150,000 and Kevin Dubler got $105,000

How many Illinois kids got drafted? Does anybody have a list?

Odorizzi
Wright
Stroup
Weaver
Jiminez
DeBernardis
Ruettiger
Zagone
Dubler
Billo

That's who I can think of off hand. Anybody else?

Who has signed? Who do you think will sign? Who do you think won't sign?

It's true RHP Greg Billo did sign with the Royals on 7/2/08, just saw it on the official website. But from what I can tell, he hasn't yet been assigned to the minor leagues, my guess it will be one of the rookie ball teams. I can't imagine he got over $40,000 for his signing bonus. Where was Billo slated to go to school if he elected not to sign and go to college? I don't remember, can someone help me out. Was it Nebraska?

I think I read that Billo was slated to go to St. Joseph.

Billo got more than you guys are all speculating. A lot more.

I don't really care to give specifics as they will come out when the time is right. It's not my position to do that.

Billo is a good talent, it's not all about the slot all the time. He was scheduled to go to St. Joe's they would have had a heck of a staff with him and Chjonowski. Good luck to him, he's got the frame and motion to give himself a chance to suceed.

Nails,

Your 100% correct, Chris Chjonowski is an excellent pitcher for my son's team, The Saint Joseph Puma's. He is about 6'5 and throws 88-92 consistantly
