Newspaper readership continues to plummet. The future is digital.

You cant compare a catholic league blue and east suburban catholic league schedule with a typical public league schedule. Much more competitive day in and day out. Strength of schedule should factor more prominently with these rankings. WY ranked higher than carmel ??

What a joke. WY should be #1 and will go all the way with ease this year.

this is the correct section to discuss this. No reason why 3 of the top 4 teams should be in the same regional knocking each other out. I really think something should be done to fix this in the future.

WY needs to watch out for it's second round matchup with Ignatius, they were a tough team this year. I can also see Mundelein gettig upset early. Should be fun.

There are so many good teams this year that it is foolish for people to spout off about WY and some of these other teams as a " lock ". This is perhaps the deepest year of parity I have ever seen. Pitching and defense wins. Let the fun begin.

I agree 100% with Nails Iggy is a sleeper to knock out a team or two they split with a good amount of teams in the CCL Rita Mt.Carmel to name a few.

From downstate my top two Class 3A picks are Highland and Chatham Glenwood. They'll probably meet before State. I might give Highland slight edge as their top 2 pitchers are studs. Oderrezi of course, but their # 2 is very good also. Chatham however has the better offense top to bottom and two pretty good pitchers as well, especially McGrath.
