I have taken more abuse in the last two days fromWisconsin and Indiana coach questioning my integrity and honesty.....that i am close to chucking it all....I am telling you...Future Prospect Tourney has caused me more headaches then 5 other events..... Moonshine anyone?????
Woodly, I know you do a great job with your tournaments, but you need to get real about this Future Prospects tournament. If you didn't schedule this tournament during the summer league playoffs, you wouldn't have these problems. You know the kids are on thin ice with thair HS coaches when it comes to the summer playoffs. They have to be thair. I hope things simmer down for you but your problems may just be beginning. How many of todays summer league playoff games do you think are going to need to be rescheduled with all this rain? I hope this doesn't effect your schedule. Lay off that pipe you are smoking, you are becoming a little irrational.

Keep doing what you are doing Mike. No tournament ever runs without someone complaining. I can say this for you.....you did your best to give us a chance to expose our players to college coaches each of the last two weeks. Despite CABA Nationals being played in OHIO, we have Dayton and Michigan State coming out this weekend to watch our guys throw at Bishop McNamara on Friday and Sturday. If every coach that is entered tells each of his players to send the tournament schedule to 3 colleges that they are interested in, we could end up having a lot more players receiving offers. Forget the fact that their baseball careers will be extended, this may give a player an opportunity to attend a college that he may otherwise not be able to attend. They will become the future leaders of our society. Furthermore, they will become the future coaches of the youth of tomorrow. Excuse me for sounding corny, but I just love this game, and the opportunities it provides for the players.

GUS21, excuse me but, where have you been son? I like the way you think. You sound like my kinda guy....and I need help on here...they all come after me for speaking my peace....And I have not been in a verbal with you...You gotta love Van Ripple and what he is doing for baseball at this level...Van Horn you should get together with PBR and Il hs baseball report and do some advertising in these magazines to help promote even more and put the future schedules in there so these coaches can find out where and when for next year....and check out www.baseballracks.com also he could use a little help with his business...so if he knew when the schools were going to be at tourney's he could bring a sample of what he is doing for baseball in the area...new benches don't sound like a lot but it makes the kids feel better, to be there on a new bench, fresh paint on the dug outs and such...hmmmm we got something going now Van Ripple....synergy baby..synergy...players coaches parents all doing there thing to promote baseball players in IL, it is awesome baby. I still say the best players are right here and when we go to the other states we prove it baby...we just don't get to play 11 1/2 mos a year....

with all of the rain we had...we did not lose a game at all...finished all of Friday games...I did a little ...no alot of shuffling and i had to use the Lumber Yard.....but we got through the entire Friday schedule... Now its time for Sat...only have 3 fields available...but we are even afte Friday as far as high school playoffs....who knows when the heck they are????? this might be an '08 tourney only nexst year.....

I agree. But then how do they actually play the games then?

Rip, they have enough players to get the games in it just seems like some of the starters are elsewhere like at travel games or football basketball ect. Jmo, I am sure it is not the same at all schools.
