you know that run was unearned. No way Mark would get scored on legit. Nice win for the fins.

Lane - 4

Young - 2

Bobby Gora was the winning pitcher who pitched extremely well. For Young it was too many walks and errors which killed their chances.

Lane and Deerfield tie at 14? Lane was short handed as most of there senior returning players were absent. Both teams went back and fourth and Lane got back to tie it in the bottom of the 7th and Deerfield got 2 in the top of the ninth. Lane got the bases loaded with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth and Lane got a bomb to the wall and 2 came in and the winning run was thrown out at home.

Amazing game.

Since Jason wasn't there, I'll report.

Niles North beat the WY Dolphins 4-1. Johnny Granato went the distance for NN who played errorless ball.

Great to see ex-Clubbers Frank Gauter, Dai Bowden, Jack Cinomman from WY.

Now I'm in to this reporting scores. NN sweeps Evanston in a double header 4-1 and 9-3.

HS summer league scores are the most pointless things we can report. CLC was winning 8-0, had 10 guys there and 1 pitcher, the pitcher got tired and they took him out and Prairie Ridge scored a ton of runs on position players, they couldn't even play the 2nd game because CLC didn't have enough players. Why these coaches continue to run teams out with so many summer games is beyond me, they fight the summer leagues and it's pointless. Why not just play 2 days a week, double headers, then let the kids play on the weekend with their travel leagues. The competition is probably better anywya.

Ballyall,

That's a little harsh coming from a guy like you. Get rid of the glasses.

bballdad1954,

Time to go celebrate the sweep with a large ticket dinner at McCormick and Schmick's

just saying posting scores is very misleading because the summer HS season is pretty much a non-existent. Willowbrook beat Montini 35-2 the other day, what came of that? Instruction?
