CABA unofficial count: Illinois 20 teams, Washington State 3, Iowa 1, Maryland 1, Michigan 2, Wisconsin 3, Ohio 3, Delaware 1, Puerto Rico 3, New Jersey 1, Missouri 4, Indiana 2, Connecticut 1, Japan 1, New York 1, Dakota 1. Line's numbers are pretty correct. There are some excellent baseball teams, but some teams that may not be competetive. Supposedly all had to win qualifiers. I strongly agree that many teams being able to add stud pitching and/or players just for this tournament means that whoever wins may not be the best teams, just the best recruiters.

CABA unnoficial count: Illinois 20, Washington 3, Iowa 1, Michigan 2, Maryland 1, Wisconsin 4, Ohio 3, Delaware 1, Puerto Rico 3, New Jersey 1, Missouri 4, Indiana 2, Connecticut 1, Japan 1, New York 1, Dakota 1. I may be off a little on the count. Bottom line is Lineshot is pretty close. While everone has to "qualify", there are some teams who are average at best. There are also many excellent teams. I agree the big problem is being able to bring in extra pitchers who may only play for your team during this tournament. I don't understand what that proves. That the coach is a good recruiter for CABA? Getting a team together for one tournament doesn't make sense to me either, but it is done all the time. As long as the kids have fun, it is OK with me, and I hear it is a great tournament. My son is looking forward to it.
