Their 15U team was in Crystal Lake for the MCYSA/USSSA Open Nationals. My experience with the coach, players and fans was extremely positive. They came across as a class group of people from top to bottom.
Although they did not make the championship bracket, they continued to play hard as a team and ended up finishing second in the consolation bracket. The organization has had other teams play in Crystal Lake in previous yeras. Can't remember a bad experience with them.

What are the caliber of kids on this team? I am looking for a 15U team for my son. He is only 5'7" - 120 lbs. Are the boys on the team much much bigger. Thanks

It depends. Most kids will probably be bigger than your son, but the Sox Academy team will probably face good competition, which should help your son a good deal.
Also, I don't know if the pricing is similar to the 17U team they had the summer before this one, but it is hugely expensive. Think somewhere around $2,000, maybe even more.
