Congrats to Ian as he was selected to pitch in the AFLAC All American game at Dodger Stadium, August 9th. He will pitch in Long Beach August 5th against the Rangers AC team and then head on out to the AFLAC events. Again congrats Ian.

Should we expect a verbal commitment from this kid around the first of September then?

From what I hear, he's already made one. That may just be hearsay though.

I would love to say but I don't think that it's my place to, especially with the chance that it may not be 100% correct.

Ian has not yet decided where he will be attending school. He is very fortunate to have so many options available to him and wants to carefully consider the best fit for him. Among the schools that he is looking at are UK, LSU, Texas A&M, Arizona and North Carolina.

Future looks bright for your kid, King. Congrats, I'm sure you had much to do with his success and are quite proud. And by the way, welcome to the board!

WEAVER #5,
Nice pitching again this weekend. Yourself, Kyle, Lee and Matt threw extemely well. I wish the D could have backed you guys better...but that is baseball, I guess. Keep working hard kid, I'm a big fan.

Thanks once again. I am sure your son let him know that he hit a new high in that inning of relief?

As much of a fan as you may be of mine, I am that much bigger a fan of his.

He did mention it and was all geeked. Now he just has to find time on the bump. Less than 25 innings between HS and Travel kept him under the radar IMO. but his arm is fresh! LOL He should get activity in Fall Ball, That'll be fun.

I'll pass along your comments, I know he'll appreciate it.

Again best of luck to Ian tomorrow as he gets to pitch at Dodger Stadium along with Jacob Turner and Bryce Harper. Bryce Harper just turned 15 recently and has been an amazing player to watch the last three days in Long Beach. He has been called the next great thing, L/R, 6'3" catcher out of Las Vegas.

Ian Kroll surely didn't disappoint today, touching 93 along with a big bender. Great talent all over the field and he was certainly part of it. Too bad that the stands are empty except for scouts and families.
