Due to today's weather we will play four games tomorrow. Starting at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM. Each pitcher will throw 2 innings with a max pitch count of 15 per inning.

See you tomorrow.

That's at least partly because a whole bunch of the top area players were in MN this week!

True, a bunch of players were out of town this week up in MN. Some had to leave after Monday to go up there. Good for some others to get a chance.

2bagger, there is a PG "National" event going on all week at the Metrodome in Minneapolis -- about 25 kids from the Illinois Sparks orgaization are up there. Too bad the events overlapped - but it does give other players exposure.

I see that bounce but when I looked at the pg site I only saw 6 kids from illinois listed on it. That is why I was asking.

The Perfect Game event is on the weekend, yes the sparks went up there to play on a tuesday but they had representation at the Silver & Black. And for the one's that were invited that didn't want to show up it just gave another kid an opportunity to be seen. There's always someone ready to take your spot or take advantage of an opportunity your willing to pass up. There were a ton of colleges there from Michigan St, Michigan, Purdue, ISU, NIU, Lewis, Central and Western Michigan........a bunch.

Grundy did well, there were others that really set their self apart as well not just Grundy. Gardeck and Crowley threw the ball very well as did some kids from out of state and down state. Chris Razo threw well. Kids got alot of exposure and playing time, it went well.
