The Indians win the Best in the Midwest tournament in East Peoria and Washington, Illinois this weekend, going 4-0 and beating the likes of The Central Illinois Outlaws (10-3) The Illinois Sparks (10-6) and the St Louis Pirates (4-3 on a bases-loaded past ball in the bottom of the seventh). The Indians beat the St Louis Pirates (loaded with talent) last year 2-1 in extra innings to win the same tournament. The Indians have won their last two tournaments with a combined record of 8-0. Who was knocking baseball in Kenosha? P.S. Jason Ormond was NOT in attendance, but Illinois, Bradley, Louisville and several others were.

A 50 year old man named Kennedy going after a teenager? Emotional immaturity to the nth degree.....WOW!

A few months ago it was an adult Mom going after a teen Girl which made the papers and now we have a baseball dad named Kennedy who is cyber bulling and going after a kid!

Illinois baseball is a rough game and if you are a kid you better have a thick skin as adults will be coming after you. Mr Kennedy apparently has some inner need to harass a kid.

What's next?

Mark,
Find a mirror when you want to chastize someone.

Your diarrhea of the keyboard when it comes to promoting your son and his HS are the cause for any ridicule you get. You abuse this site for your own personal gain and then wonder why you're attacked.

Learn some restraint.

Honestly, you make your son an easy target. If Jason was on my high school team he would be harassed for your actions non-stop.

You really need to think about what you are doing because it is only hurting your son. If my dad did this, I would be embarrassed.

This is not to say that it is right for people to take cheap shots at your son however.

Flipper Marm,
Don't see the "going after" you reference. Will Capstone enlighten the class?

J Weaver,
Nice and smooth Saturday, kid. Mine likes playing behind you.

Please... Mrs. Flipper, nobody is going to buy your "going after a kid" cry. They all see it as it is... And by the way. I'm 47. Don't push it. And if you really want to witness some personal attacks... Please visit Mrs. Flipper's website.. I believe someone else has posted the link. Capstoneconsulting.com. Don't let the kids go there, though.. Some of the language on the site is very offensive.

I love having him behind me. He made a really nice play on that ball to his left yesterday and is always solid. I don't know when I will be pitching again though, I am having some difficulties.

Difficulties? Mechanics looked solid, I got the impression you were working on something specific and not focusing on top end speed.

Haha, well I am glad it came off that way.

I strained my lat on my throwing side recently and it has been somewhat painful. I going to have it rubbed down ASAP and will be ready for the next time I am needed.

I'm sure you'll be fine, but if it lingers PM me and I'll hook you up with a former D'backs S&C coach who has worked wonders for #16.

How about a grown man on a message board pretending to be a female? If that's not emotional immaturity I don't know what is. Geesh. C'mon "dolphin mom"... stop hiding.

JKennedy - glad to see the Indians doing well in good old Kenosha, one of my favorite baseball venues.

I didn't even know they played baseball in Kenosha Big Grin
The Indians had a good run this weekend. Hopefully, they'll come back next year and give us a shot at keeping our trophy at home.
Overall, just a great weekend for a first-year tournament. We had between 15-20 Division I schools in attendance (I haven't seen the tally sheets from the other two 18-U sites yet), several JUCOs, a smattering of D-IIs and D-IIIs and at least four pro organizations -- Pirates, Diamondbacks, Angels and Braves.
Myself and my board of directors have traded some thoughts already about how to improve the tournament. If anyone that was there has any suggestions, we'd love to hear them. Anything from facilities to tournament format.

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed.

Make it four in a row. After taking the Central Illinois Outlaw Best in the Midwest tournament in East Peoria, The Indians followed by winning the Summer Slam wood bat tourny this past weekend in Lombard. Indians pitchers gave up a meager 2 earned runs in the last three games of the tourny. Great defense and some timely hitting helped the cause. 13 hours in the sun on Sunday due to Fri/Sat rains..

Stay away from any Tournament run at Nash Park-what a disaster of a tourny-no field support, no tourny support, games had different time limits, 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours, 1 3/4 all told to us right before the first pitch..no preparation for rain delays, there were parents scrambling to Lowes to by rakes to work the fields-we PAID to be in this disaster and WE had to work the fields..ridiculous.
