Tonight's game with the Tigers seems very important for a game in July. Don't want to be 5 1/2 back....closer to third than first. Sox pitching is very average. They need to change their slogan to "Hit the long ball or die trying." Offense is overly dependent on HR's. Trade Anderson and McCarthy for Pierre, Maddux and Marmol.

Fast...Not so fast.

Saw the Cubbies last night and Pierre can't throw the ball better than a little leaguer. He's an offensive centerfielder. Two consecutive plays (throwing) in the inning when they scored two runs showed me that the Sox don't want Pierre in center.

You are right...Sox front-line pitching has struggled. By why Greg...2-11 with 6 plus era in those starts since the 5-0 at the start of the season. Everyone in baseball sees that he can't even hit 86 on the gun and the smart guys that wait and hit it the opposite way have a field day against him. If you're a pro hitter and don't have to worry about someone blowing the ball by you, you are likely to do well. Don't need to hear about the 1 or 2 successful soft tossers in MLB, either. 1 or 2 out of a couple of hundred.

Marmol has had a couple of good games. I like him.

Anderson should have been sent back to the minors for some seasoning with the Sox picking up a journeyman centerfielder. What happened to Politte? Gees. He was launched virtually everytime he pitched, both before and after the DL stint.

Sox will be fine. You don't win the title in July. Wait 'til Detroit loses 4 in a row and they start second-guessing themselves...then POOOFFFF!

Teams who have Jim Leyland as a manager do not second guess themselves--- he makes Ozzie look like the fool that he is

TR...And, in my opinion, Jim Leyland is a cigarette smoking mope!

We need a journeyman centerfielder and a quality set-up man.

Go White Sox.

White Sox again in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Deal with it.

Genius = Guillen or Leyland.

Dufus = TR's comment!

Please Note: You heard it here first....and often!

Brian Anderson now at .210 and counting (close to .300 over his last 20 games). No one plays CF better. He will be around for many a year.

and....he darn near tied today's game in his last at bat...the only AB he didn't get a hit! (3-4)
