1st JUCO games this past weekend.Well worth waiting for. Missed the pit in my stomach, the wind in my face, and the thrill of the game. Kid did well. 9 for 16. 5 1B, 3 2B, 1 HR, 2 SB, 7 RBI's, and a BEAUTIFUL bunt that he beat out.Took 3 out of 4 games against Vinncennes University. Weather was great 6 hours south. Back on the road next weekend. How did everyone else do on these opening weekends?

stickwatcher,

ECC opens it's season with 4 games scheduled on the weekend of 3/13 facing Lindenwood U (JV) and John A. Logan down in St. Charles, MO.

Quite a start for you son. Here's hoping he keeps it up. Good luck to you both....

stickwatcher,

ECC's 2004 roster is finally up. I don't know exactly what the problem was but I do know the information was ready quite a while back.

Hope the rain holds off down in Missouri so ECC can get their games in!

stickwatcher,

Obviously I haven't been here in a while. A belated thank you for your kind comments.

jerny1111,

Also, sorry for the late response...thank you and good luck to your boys too! Yes, we were in Lion country and unfortunately I didn't get to see LU's varsity team play since ECC was playing the JV team at the time. TR Hughes is a great ballpark! Heard a rumor LU plans to build a new facility on campus. Is it true?
