Can anyone give me some detail info on how PG showcases run (the Sunshine Showcase to be exact), especially for a pitcher. For example, day 1 will be drills - do the pitchers throw? Day 2 is games - how many innings and or games does each pitcher throw. Do they have the opportunity to play secondary positions?
Thanks

Day 1 a pitcher could run the 60. Plus do secondary position drills and BP. Some pitchers will play on Day 1 others on Day 2. Pitchers typically throw 3 innings. That's it. You could definitely do a secondary position and if your son plays in the field regularly, I would recommend it.

Good Luck!!!

I took my son last year, pitcher only.

Day 1 - watched the 60s, the outfield, infield and catchers (he's not very fast so he didn't run - many didn't) or attend the batting practice - OK by coach

Day 2 - pitched his three innings (no walks allowed PG rules) then spent the rest of the time sitiing on the bench meeting and talking to his teammates and making friends. Met a couple of what should be early round draft picks.

One comment, find directions to the main park, we spent a lot of time and a LD phone call to get the address. They advertise the Red Sox complex, but no games were played there last year. All games were played a local park.
