Velocity Sports Performance, in conjunction with Nike, SPARQ, Z104 and the YMCA, is launching the First Annual Best of the 757 Athlete Showcase!

The inaugural Best of the 757 is a community event celebrating all of the high school athletes from Hampton Roads. The one-week long event will
showcase the amazing athleticism of the area's athletes and to see who might be tomorrow's next great athlete of the 757. Each day, Hampton
Roads' area high school boys and girls' athletes in each of the major sports will compete individually and as a team in a regional Nike/SPARQ
combine. Each day will also include free giveaways, prizes, and a guest speaker.

Event Details and Locations:
Baseball/Softball @ Greenbrier Christian Academy in Chesapeake.

Athlete Awards & Recognition:

Top Athlete (Boys) - will receive a $500 donation to their school's athletic department
Top Athlete (Girls) - will receive a $500 donation to their school's athletic department
Top Team (Boys) - will receive a $500 donation to their school's athletic department
Top Team (Girls) - will receive a $500 donation to their school's athletic department

Top 5 Athletes in Each Sport - will receive a Best of the 757 Champion shirt & award

(25% of the event's net proceeds will also go to support the Greater Hampton Roads YMCA Youth Obesity Initiative.)

The week will culminate with a celebration and awards ceremony in which the
area's top teams and top athletes will be recognized and honored based on
their SPARQ athletic score. These athletes will have earned the right to say they are truly the Best of the 757 for 2008!
