Can any of you give me your "two cents" regarding showcase events or tournaments in the Chicago or northern Illinois area? Which ones should we avoid? Which not to miss? Any horror stories or glowing reviews would be welcomed.

If your son is a pitcher/catcher, I would recommend the USBA Showcase. This year the showcase is at North Central College. I attended last year at Elmhurst College and there were a very good amount of scouts in attendence. I feel that showcase was one of the main events that got my name out there somewhat.

Early June Showcases at Stevenson and Plainfield for Seniors to be run by Harvey Foster are great bargain and great exposure for those invited to attend. High School coaches generally work with
Mr. Foster on list of attendees. Generally 100 or more college and pro scouts in attendance.
