GUTHRIE, you would have loved this guy. Sharp and I took a DMBC team to Aggieland in the fall a couple of years ago and the game was called by Coleman because it was 40 degrees and misting...Sharp and I are cleaning the dugout and about to leave and this kid asks if we would stay and throw to him under the third base bleachers so he could get his work in...

The 3 of us hit for an hour and thats all Sharp and I talked about on the way homes. 19 other kids sprinted to their cars and one kid stayed...

And that is why we coach!

Good luck kid..

Catch,

You hit for an hour with Sharp? Must've been some ugly hacks! baseball7
Cool

Congrats to B-Ker! He had a wonderful career as a Horned Frog, and is now pursuing his dream in pro ball. Best of luck to him!

Well, here's a story for your soon to be blooming prospect...

Kervin goes undrafted his Junior year after starting 2 seasons as TCU SS (and 1 year as a freshman 3B @ AZ.) Gets drafted this season in the 20 somethingth round only a month ago...and tonight (due to injury) he is playing for the AAA Syracuse Chiefs, a Toronto Blue Jays affiliate. Probably just a temporary assignment, but a great story none the less....

Catcher & Sharp, Thanks for putting in the extra time. Guys like you make a difference in these kids lives (you two could have sprinted to the car too!)
