The Don Mattingly is a pure 17U event. You can win the State and go straight to the World Series which is held July 28th - August 1 in Albuquerque, NM. This is available for 17U teams that choose not to do Connie Mack.

When there is a bracket, can someone post it? What are the dates for this tournament? Interested in the games at UTA since it is a few miles from the house.

The host entity has to bid to be able to host an AABC World Series. In that bid they can include travel, accomodations and such but I do not believe it is a requirement.
Similar to the AABC 15U WS, the Don Mattingly 17U World Series is relatively new and does not attract much attention so the majority of strong 17U teams play to go to the CMWS.
Maybe one day the DMWS will be considered an elite tourney and the host will have a bigger budget but as for now the brass ring continues to be Farmington and they put on quite a show there.
Have heard that the bracket has been changed in order to add another team.
