Quite a haul for the 2007 Bearkats, as nine players get recognized in the Southland Conference "All Conference" teams. This will stand as the most players to be named in the All Conference selections, since they joined the Southland Conference in 1988.
Another interseting side note, Luke's brother, Steve Prihoda, was named Pitcher of the Year in 1994, with the Bearkats. Luke was absolutely the best pitcher in conference, bar none.
Congrats to all the recognized Bearkats!

Thanks.............
It's Heath, not Keith though.
Love the kid and his folks. Way beyond his years in mental approach of the game.

Thanks, PD! It's been a long run, from age 6 to now, 23. It looks like Thursday could be his last start unless they can win the SLC Tournament, and get an automatic bid to the Regionals.
The Kats are back! I bet Johnson got Coach of the year as well but failed to tell anyone. P-Daddy ~ If it's information about SAM HOUSTON don't forget to PM me as well. I spent 4 1/2 years in Huntsville myself (good side of the fence) and can give up information. Congrats to all the KATS with a K.

It's actually the "Clay Gould Award" and it was given to the UTSA coach. Coach Johnson would have gotten my vote, based on the big turn around at SHSU......but my vote don't count.
As the years pass by I understand more and more why I'm not coaching anymore. What a bonehead mistake that was. I should have known better but get in too big of a hurry sometimes. My apologies If I upset anyone with my miss-speak. Or miss-type.
