Howdy Swami, Coach Crawford, 2 seasons out of Burleson, left to take the Coppell AD job, a small pay hike and more time with family. Crawford brought many of his football assistants and I see them as....stranded. Coach Collins was the baseball coach there, prior to coming to Plano East, but I think his job is safe. He is young and has a good future, from my perspective. Your assessment about his personality is accurate....he is well-respected by the parents and the players like him. He did a nice job last year in his first year at East....it was one of those, "I was more concerned about not screwing things up" -- the senior team was solid and they would have done well for anyone (ummm, ok, nearly anyone). Thanks for your interest in Plano East baseball! -PD PS....I heard a rumor that they were close on the filling the football job (it may have already happened). I know there were a number of strong candidates.

My son likes Coach Collins. He is easy going, and works hard between the lines. He keeps the guys working all the time.
We look forward to this season.

I have no LH ties. I've stated this before. I played for Higgins in the 80's. That's why I follow and root for the 'Cats. Higgins will outcoach anyone in 9-5A. And Kyle Humphries? He can rush it up there pretty fast. The 'Cats are loaded. I also work with 2 Rockwall dads. They expect the Jackets to outslug everybody. Should be interesting.

Swami, I will agree that Higgins has had some success in his many years there, but my belief is that he does not get the most out of his players. I have seen some talented groups go through there who have underachieved. He is runover with talent year in and year out. As for you saying it should be interesting in 9-5A, there are only two teams in that district who will be dominant. PESH and Rock.

This doesnt concern Plano East but it does concern district 9-5A...I recently heard that Rockwall's stud catcher Clark is not going to catch any this season, but he is going to play 3rd base. It will be interesting how that plays out. If Im right the backup catcher is Wallace... hes has great tools, could probably start on any team in the area. Also the Venezuelan is gone(heard he didnt have a Visa)...be interesting to see who the #2 will be. Seems like there are a many of rockwall people on this board really talking alot about their team

UDONTKNOW, the name fits the facts... clark has been released and will be catching shortly, they are just going to ease him back into things and they are in no hurry seeing as that they have two capable back-ups...wallace and talley (no relation to the coach)...talley played for the dallas panthers this summer and the dallas tigers the three before that...clark is in shape enough to catch now. and hit and run heard right...the venezuelan had visa problems and could not return for this season.

Whoa...you sure did take offense to my comments. You must have some higher authority giving u ur information. It was just a rumor that I heard and you know how well rumors get passed around in certain places. It is still going to be tough for him to come back considering what he had to go through...atleast I would think so for a player of his caliber. No matter what people say it will still be a big obstacle for rockwall to overcome if they they are as good as they think.

im not really seeing this obstacle udontknow, Clark will be fine. It's not like hes coming back from an amputated leg. Surgury was minor. He'll be back and better than he was last year.
