The forum may say "Off Season," but the topic concerns spring baseball, not summer. I would venture to guess that there are a few parent-coach problems in N. TX and Houston too.

Thanks Infield, you were right, I fixed it....
Smaller geographic areas, generally less income (in San Antonio, at least) to pay for player development -- yes, there are struggles. However, great strides are being made, largely because of the efforts of two locally-based pro scouts. Btw, the original poster is based in the Corpus Christi area, home of 2008 4A state champion Calallen HS and 2007 4A state champion Moody HS. This area certainly does not "lag behind."
