A very good Dallas Tigers team defeated a very good DBAT 18 team at the Lone Star state tourney in Flower Mound to advance to the CM regional. DBAT ended a great run that includes a 2006 MMWS championship and a multitude of fond memories. This team sends all 16 players to great college baseball programs, including 6 to Big 12 schools (Texas, Nebraska, Missouri, OU), 2 to the SEC (Arkansas), 4 to great D1 schools (Wofford, LA Lafayette, Northwestern, South Dakota State), 3 to top D1 JUCO (Navarro, Grayson, NCTC), and 1 to a great NAIA school (Northwoods). In addition, watch for Matt Thompson's near-term debut in pro baseball. This team won 150+ games over the past 4 years. Special thanks from DBAT parents to Kirk, Curt, Ted, Darren, Cade, and Kyle. It's been fun! Good luck to the local teams as they mix it up in Fort Worth next week. Go DBAT!

That 18U DBat team was a great group. Our 18U Braves have been together for 3 years and are currently 87-10 in that span. In 2006 we went 20-2 and our only 2 losses were at the Mickey Mantle World Series to those guys (1 in pool play, 1 in the championship game). They beat us in the Championship Game of the Mickey Mantle World Series on a Walk-Off Grand Slam! Congratulations to all of these guys for all of their accomplishments and good luck in college.

JAFO, can you put this in layman terms. Seems you are taking a shot?

Tychco. Tychco Jr. and Maximo M ARE SO LUCKYYYY that they have not had to face the Mustangs-Randle 17U and that big ole 6'3"+ Beast throwing at them this summer. He wouldn't show mercy on his friends. LOL. FYI, He pitched in Joplin this am, had a no-hitter going until the 5th. Mustangs over Austin Slam 10-1. Good luck this week, I will try to come watch you guys since better half is in Joplin. quote: Originally posted by tychco: KD,

I just finished a 14-8-1 season. I have no room for shots. Just making an observation. If I remember correctly this happened once before. 17's move on and 18's don't.
But for the record.......I am surprised, no wait dumbfounded. How did the Tigers beat you?<-----Now that was a shot!
I'm with the DBAT 16 and 17 group. But for the record.......I am surprised, no wait dumbfounded. How did the DBAT 16 beat the Tigers 17?<-----Now that was a shot!

Not trying to smart here either but the Blackhawks never move on. I believe DBAT 17 played both Blackhawks teams and it was not close, well at least on those weekends.
