Po-po and I had a chance to watch a few new Texas and Oklahoma boys tee it up at Texas Tech this afternoon in GM2 of the annual Red and Black Fall Series. Plus a few Texas/OK JC guys were competing for the coaches attention.
Stephen Hagen played OF, Bo Altobeli played 3rd base, Duke VonSchamann played 1st base, for the Red squad. Jamoderick McGruder played 2nd base, Barrett Barnes played CF, Bonham Hough played OF, Nick Popescu played 3rd base for the Black squad.
Nice weather and a good game, not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon. They go at it again on Tuesday in GM3.

Popescu powers Black to victory Third baseman Nick Popescu drove in four runs leading the Black team to an 11-3 victory Sunday in the second game of the Red-Black fall series at Dan Law Field.
Popescu hit two doubles and a triple for the Black, which has won the first two games. Game 3 is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday.
