You aren't going to hear about too many big name sophomores. Juniors is a different story, I know a lot of those.

Sophomores that have proven themselves to me would me Adam Kirsch and a guy from Klein. Last name Purke. Kirsch was all district as a freshman in a district with Baytown Sterling, Kingwood and Humble. Purke played on the USA team in the junior olympics.

The Katy Tigers have two sophomores that were heavy contributors last year as freshmen on a team that went to the state finals. Andrew Stumph was the starting catcher - led the team in home runs (6) and rbi's (46) and hit .360. He also pitched in relief and went 1-0. Keifer Nuncio was 7-0 as a pitcher and won two crucial games against Cy-Fair in the Regional Finals. They were named Houston 5A Co-Newcomers of the Year last year. Both hit 88 mph on the gun this past summer in the 15-under Wood Bat World Series in Marietta, GA.

One other sophomore - Jared Fancher - lettered last year as a freshman and is expected to be a starter on this year's team.
